Ronald Wimberly
Ronald Wimberly melds traditional Japanese elements with modern manga stylings popping with flat colors and thrillingly twisted perspectives. And, adding some ice cream atop the cake, he’s also got some fantastic renditions of the characters of Romeo and Juliet.
I lied, still posting old work. For nostalgia reasons and to keep this active :)
Fanart is one of my biggest motivations to this very day. I always had a hard time with creating original work, and fanart helped me to stay active whenever I had an “artblock”
Doing this stylized realism thing was something I merely tried cause I wanted to do nice fanart for the Gyakusai series. I actually lost count on how much junk I drew…
The Minuki CG (and even the Godot oekaki) was inspired by Jeremy Lipkings works, an artist that I really admire. The Sketch with Maya and Pearl was inspired by Jon Fosters painting technique…basicly the way I paint today has usually been tested with fanart first haha
Other than that, a failed attempt for a Metal Gear crossover and the only screenshot I kept from my fansite. I´m deeply sad that I couldn´t keep it up for time reasons, it´s been so much fun.
( these are mostly from around 2007-2009 )
